Job Description
We are seeking a Director - Risk who will be an expert in valuation practices and principles, working closely with compliance team, business line heads and valuers. They will help the business develop and maintain strong market reputation, consistently delivering high-quality advice in a timely and cost-effective manner.
The Director - Risk will review valuation reports, countersigning thresholds and assess valuer risk profiles. They will also review technical papers and industry standards and ensure dissemination of this information to the Acumentis valuer community. The Director - Risk will also participate in engaging with industry bodies such as the Australian Property Institute, Valex and clients.
The Director - Risk will ensure that they themselves lead (Never Quit) and are accountable (Walk The Talk), whilst supporting our internal team and liaising with external stakeholders (Support Our People and Clients), all whilst doing so in a fair and reasonable way (Embrace Equality of Opportunity).
Some of the key Accountabilities are:
Provide Quality Assurance reviews of submitted valuation reports across all Acumentis sectors.
Assist in the development of operational risk policies, standards and procedures for valuationrisk management
Perform valuation risk identification and assessment across divisions• Participate in Divisional risk audit programs
Keep abreast of market, industry and client trends, events, changes, practices and otherdynamics that may impact valuation risk
Build and maintain strong relationships with Bank Risk Executives, with regular interaction
Be recognised both internally and externally as a property “quality and risk champion”
Maintain and ensure compliance with Approved Lender List
Review, address and countersign residential, commercial, specialised and Agribusiness valuation reports submitted through to compliance
Ensure compliance with client valuation standing instructions
Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum 10 years of practical valuation experience
